THE EXHIBITION
After I’ve finished photographing 40 women over the age of 40+ I want to exhibit the beautiful portraits of each woman along with their message and story to empower all women.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS
As a woman who turned 48 a few weeks ago, I’ve experienced a profound shift in how I see myself and my place in the world. Already my 45th birthday made me reflect on my journey, the challenges I’ve faced, and the incredible growth I’ve achieved. I realized that despite the beauty, wisdom, and resilience that come with age, society often overlooks the contributions and experiences of women over 40.
My own journey hasn’t been without its struggles. I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, times when I felt invisible, wondering if my best years were behind me. But then I met my husband at the age of 41, married and had my second child at the age of 43, moved over the ocean, left my old life behind and started all over again at the age of 45.
Since 2016 I’m photographing women all ages in a magical transformative experience. Women over 40 are still beautiful, and their stories need to be seen and heard.
I want to photograph and tell the stories of 40 women over 40+.
When I reach my goal I want to exhibit all stories at a big event.
