About Me

ABOUT ME

How can you trust me, if you don’t know me (yet)? Thatswhy I decided to write this blog post about me.

You will get all the details about me including:

  • my life
  • my family
  • my education
  • my dreams

But most important:

Why I do what I do.

You have any questions? I’m an open book. You can ask me anything.

BECOMING A PHOTOGRAPHER

I was born and raised in the heart of Germany, specifically in the eastern part. Growing up, the “new world” truly opened up to me during my teenage years, and I realized that I could be and do anything I wanted. I’ve always dreamed of being a photographer, but opportunities were scarce back then.

Determined to pursue my dreams, I went to high school. I faced a few bumps along the way, including failing my exam on the first try. And yes, believe it or not, I failed the art exam! (*haha) But I didn’t let that stop me. On my next attempt, I passed—with Biology!

I then tried studying Egyptian, Anglicism, and Journalism at university but quickly realized it wasn’t for me. Around this time, my son was born, and my life changed completely. Now a single mom, I needed to build a future. I completed an apprenticeship as an office assistant and discovered a love for computers.

I kept attending photography workshops, and I knew I could follow my passion. In 2012, I finished an apprenticeship in Media Design. Since then, I’ve been fully committed to my photography journey, constantly learning and growing. I’m living my dream, capturing beautiful moments, and I couldn’t be happier.

This journey taught me resilience and the importance of following my passion, no matter the obstacles.

OUR NEW LIFE IN CANADA

Today, I’m happily married to a Canadian I met in Germany. In 2022, we made the big move to Canada with my son and our daughter. Starting fresh in a new country has been a challenge, but we’re embracing it together.

Adjusting to a new society, especially in a small city, hasn’t been easy. While my husband and our daughter speak French, English, and German, my son and I are still working on our French. We understand a bit but aren’t quite conversational yet.

Getting our work permits and permanent residency took a long time, making the transition even harder. Despite these hurdles, we’re excited about our new adventure and are gradually finding our place in this beautiful country.

MY DREAMS

My biggest dream is to one day have my own photography studio in this beautiful country. While I currently work from my cozy home studio, I envision a larger, dedicated space where I can capture the essence of women through my lens, helping them see their own beauty and strength.

With a bigger studio, I aim to serve even more women, offering them a place to celebrate themselves and create lasting memories.

Settling in Canada has been a challenging journey, but it’s one I’m passionate about. I am working hard to integrate into this wonderful community and build a life where my family feels truly at home.

I’m excited about the future and committed to turning this dream into reality, one photograph at a time.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

At the core of my passion for photography lies a deep desire to empower women. I believe that every woman possesses a unique strength and beauty that deserves to be celebrated and cherished. Through my work, I strive to bring out that strength, to remind women of their power, and to instill in them a sense of confidence and self-worth.

I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of photography on women’s lives. There is something truly empowering about seeing oneself through a different lens, about capturing moments that reflect not only physical beauty but also inner strength and resilience.

My mission is to show women that they are capable of so much more than they may realize. I want them to trust in themselves, to recognize their own value, and to embrace their unique qualities with pride. Whether it’s a portrait session, a boudoir shoot, or a lifestyle session, my goal is always the same: to help women see themselves in a new light and to feel empowered to take on the world.

In a society that often tries to dictate how women should look and behave, photography becomes a powerful tool for reclaiming autonomy and self-expression. It allows women to define beauty on their own terms, to celebrate their individuality, and to stand tall in their authenticity.

Every time I pick up my camera, I am reminded of the incredible privilege and responsibility that comes with being a photographer. I am honored to play a small part in each woman’s journey towards self-discovery and self-love. And for me, that is why I do what I do.
