She Returned to Herself at 40
I’m a mother of three… artist and teacher. I lost myself for a while and got a little busy with life until I got divorced at 40 and had my very own renaissance. I had to prove to myself that I can do things on my own without a waiting for a knight in shining armor. It almost feels like when 40 hit I woke up from a coma and all of a sudden what I wanted mattered, my dreams mattered…. I just needed a little nudge to get there.
I have finally come to understand that I am my own true love. That I am worthy of the love that only I can give myself and this has helped me become the best version of myself and a work in progress.
Reach for the Stars — Especially Now
Put your oxygen mask on first. If you don’t take care of yourself you will never be able to fully take care of anyone else. This means setting boundaries and really getting to know your own needs and dreams. Don’t settle for anything because people are telling you that you are asking for too much or your dreams are unrealistic. You should always reach for the stars! It’s never too late.
