“Growing up in Mexico, I always dreamed of becoming an actress. I would watch movies and TV shows, imagining myself in those roles, bringing characters to life. But life had other plans for me. My family never allowed me to pursue acting, so I took a different path and became a teacher. Teaching was fulfilling, but deep down, I knew I wasn’t following my true passion.
When I moved to Canada, I faced a new set of challenges. I couldn’t continue teaching in the same way I had in Mexico, and I felt professionally stuck. I even considered going back to Mexico because I felt lost and uncertain about my future. That’s when my husband suggested something that changed my life forever. He asked me, “Why not start an acting career here? It’s something you’ve always wanted to do.” His words sparked something inside me—a realization that this could be my chance to finally pursue my lifelong dream.
I decided to give it a shot. I started by doing something as simple as googling acting classes in Montreal, and that’s when my journey truly began. I signed up for a class and immediately fell in love with the craft all over again. I couldn’t get enough. I kept taking more classes, immersing myself in the world of acting, learning everything I could, and meeting incredible people along the way.
Now, almost six years later, I am living my dream. I have been working as much as possible, continually learning and growing as an actress. To my amazement, I have even won seven international awards for Best Actress! If someone had told me years ago that I would be in a different country, starting an acting career at 35, I would have never believed them. But here I am, proving that it is truly never too late to follow your dreams.
This journey has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I am excited to see where this path will take me next, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to do what I love. So, to anyone out there hesitating to pursue their dreams, remember this: it’s never too late to start. I’m living proof that you can follow your passion at any age, in any place, and achieve things you never thought possible. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
